Alison graduated from the University of Hartford in 2005 with her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. She completed her clinical training in a variety of settings, including outpatient orthopedics and the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, Connecticut, where she put her skills to work with the pediatric population. During the past seven years, she has continued her work in outpatient orthopedics and added acute care to her experience. Her primary physical therapy interests are acute care, orthopedics, neurological conditions, and pediatrics.
Alison sees enormous value in treating her clients with a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. Since her days at the University of Hartford, she has continued her physical therapy education to improve her proficiency in manual therapies such as Muscle Energy, Kinesiotaping, and more. Alison recently completed coursework focusing on the treatment of pediatric hypotonia, or low muscle tone, a condition that interests her deeply. She has also completed coursework on the Therapeutic Applications of Yoga. Alison has been practicing yoga on her own for several years and sees rewards among patients who incorporate it into their treatment. She also has a strong interest in the positive effects of holistic health and nutrition on people’s overall healing and well-being.
Alison keeps active with yoga, bike riding, hiking, and running. She enjoys reading, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
